Resume with Resumes

Resume with Resumes is Right Resumes' charitable initiative focused on writing resumes and imparting knowledge that can change lives. We have identified two key phases in people's lives where knowledge about and access to a strong resume is key: 1) adolescents preparing to enter the workforce or attend college, and 2) adults who have met with considerable adversity which threatens to put them completely off course. We believe that reaching people at these two phases of life and educating them about the competitive nature of the job market is vital and can be the difference between being unemployed and career advancement. Accordingly, our charitable initiative is threefold and involves the following programs:

Right Resumes Workshops for Teens

As an arm of our resume workshops, these events are designed to engage children early on so that they are prepared to act when an opportunity arises. The workshop will teach the significance of the resume, key components, how to properly utilize it and the impact it can have on future career opportunities.

Resumes to Uplift

Right Resumes members can nominate one adult person who has met with considerable adversity which threatens to put them completely off course. A recipient will be selected every quarter based upon current situation, resume condition and employment status. The individual will receive a written, web and video resume in addition to a cover letter, career coaching, and a Right Resumes portfolio to assist with interviewing.

Community Partnerships

We partner with several non-profit organizations to assist us in identifying members of the community who are reestablishing their lives. Once identified, we select individuals to receive free services based upon the partnering organization’s recommendation. We will facilitate the entire job search by critiquing and writing resumes, identifying opportunities, connecting individuals to networks and career transition counseling.
